VOLUNTEER WEST JOINS WITH AUSTRALIAN MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY SERVICE TO MAKE FURTHER VOLUNTARY IMPACT IN METRO WEST MELBOURNE AREA.

MELBOURNE, Australia, February 28, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Multicultural Community Services Australia (AMCS) and Volunteer West are pleased to announce they are teaming up to further support volunteers and champion volunteerism for better health and wellbeing in Western Australia Melbourne.

Volunteer West, a trusted leader in inclusive voluntary practices and a dedicated volunteer resource center will join Multicultural Community Services Australia to further enhance community in the West.

AMCS, a diversified not-for-profit charity, has a proud 40-year history of supporting people in multicultural communities through a variety of support services including Home Care for seniors, volunteering, social engagement, adult education, and employment pathways. With headquarters in Maidstone and a branch in Geelong, AMCS is well-positioned to appreciate connections to the Western suburbs as well as taking existing capabilities further afield.

The process has progressed progressively over the past six months, as resources and programs have combined to reach more people with vital support services. The two organizations will begin with the collaborative delivery of existing services and programs while implementing plans for Volunteer West to transition to being part of AMCS.
