Spring is near! If your nonprofit has a lot of indoor and outdoor cleaning projects, Prince William Volunteers have the power and muscle available to help you! We have several individuals who require hours of community service to fulfill their court obligations. We Community Service Volunteers are adults and juveniles charged with a misdemeanor and are available during the week and on the weekends. Prince William Volunteers also need Spanish speaking volunteers who can be called on to translate for Alternative Community Services clients who wish to enroll in our program but speak little or no English. Volunteers will participate in conference calls between staff and clients to translate questions and responses during the initial intake interview. Volunteers will be pre-scheduled for certain shifts and must be available by phone during these times. Volunteers must be proficient in English and Spanish and able to speak clearly. They must also ensure that the information they translate is accurate and retains the same style and meaning as the original. Conference calls can be made once a week, or you can be on standby. Animal love? This is the Big Opportunity

Great people at Advocate for Abused and Abandoned Pets need experienced 18+ volunteers to help coordinate, manage, and execute a walk/run fundraiser. The goal is to host a 5K race at Prince William during early fall. It’s too early to start planning, and you’ll have a great time promoting healthy events that will help homeless and abused animals! Help Feed Senior Citizens

You can help feed our senior citizens! Prince William Area Agency on Aging looking for Home Delivery Food Driver ages 18+ to deliver daytime meals to seniors living at home Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 12:00pm. The route takes about 1.5 hours to complete; the schedule is flexible. The program operates from two senior centers in Manassas and Woodbridge. Volunteers must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and proof of insurance. Volunteers must also pass a criminal background check, which is paid for by PWC. BEACON for English Language and Literacy

BEACON for English Language & Literacy are recruiting Volunteer Teachers, Tutors and Substitutes for their spring class, March 20 through June 8. Volunteers are provided with a formal textbook curriculum that combines listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Volunteers use textbooks to develop lesson plans that provide additional opportunities for exercises that emphasize conversation practice and student engagement. You will feel amazing helping adults gain confidence and learn the language skills needed to get a job, communicate with their children’s teacher, talk to their doctor, or pursue higher education! staff at Health Care Capital need virtual volunteers to help recruit volunteers for their various programs. This virtual opportunity is around 10 hours a month and involves social media, marketing and outreach support. Admin Volunteer Work

If you like admin work, folks at CFH (formerly Catholics for Housing) want to meet you! They need bilingual volunteers Office Assistant who can run day-to-day office operations and assist callers and clients. Her duties include answering telephones, assisting visitors, assisting websites and program applications. Flexible schedule, two to three days a week, four to six hours each shift. You Can Make a Difference in a Child’s Life!

Court-appointed Special Advocate (CASA) need volunteers aged 21+ who care for children growing up in safe, permanent and loving homes. The staff will be holding the next event Virtual Information Session on March 22, 18.00-19.00. Tutors needed

Catholic charity Virginia Refugee Student Achievement Program (VRSAP) requires volunteers to help tutor students on an ongoing basis. The program supports children up to five years after arrival and helps displaced students in targeted areas to succeed in school. ESL Teacher Needed

staff at Grace United Methodist Church need volunteers to be Teacher And Servant for the next session English as a Second Language (ESL), April 4 to June 8.
