Looking for a great place to host guests in Dunedin?

We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually live in our house. But how do we convey that without sounding, you know, a little harsh…?

Here’s the idea: highly recommend they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer a fully furnished 850 square foot suite with 2 beds, 1 bathroom for less than hotel rates.

Mai Tai Suites is located off the Dunedin Causeway and is surrounded by St. Joseph’s Sound. Convenient to Clearwater Beach and Downtown Dunedin. It’s also dog-friendly (no pet fees) and offers free guest tickets to nearby Honeymoon Island State Park.

Invite all your friends and family to visit Dunedin — and tell them to book a room at Mai Tai Suites today. Book directly with Mai Tai Suites to save up to 15 percent off regular online booking site fees.

Now, today’s weather: Generally sunny. High: 76 Low: 63.

Here are the main news in Dunedin today:

  1. Children from Dunedin Highland Middle School’s ESE program recently volunteered at the Healthy Harbor Community Market, which is one of Feeding Minds’ many school-based food pantries. The children were led by Jennifer Rossell, who helped them stay focused on filling boxes with food for those in need. “Students with intellectual disabilities need opportunities to experience a little giving back,” says Rossell. “But there’s not a lot of organization available for them to do it. It gives them the feeling that they are on to something. You can see it on their faces. They love helping people.” Volunteering helps prepare students for vocational training when they go on to secondary school. (ABC Action News Tampa Bay)
  2. Beach Island Brewery is having Pre-St. Rice Day Party with Irish Dennis on March 12 between 3 and 6 pm Stop by to start your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Patrick’s with live music, craft beer and good friends. This event is the precursor to the St. Patrick’s Day Feast. Patrick’s at Beach Island Brewery on March 17, which will offer green beer, food and live music. (Beach Island Brewery via Facebook)
