HAMPTON, NEWPORT NEWS, POQUOSON, WILLIAMSBURG, GLOUCESTER, JAMES CITY & YORK COUNTIES, VIRGINIA – November 26, 2013 - The Volunteer Center of the Virginia Peninsula in partnership with Newport News Parks and Recreation is preparing for the annual "Walk in the Park", – a family fun and fitness event. This one-night-only opportunity to walk through the Celebration in Lights is open to anyone wishing to participate. The Walk is also a wonderful holiday kick-off event for all to enjoy.

The Walk in the Park kicks off with plenty of holiday cheer on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Woodside High School in Newport News.
